 Mechanicum Adept Roedelius. 

Declared Heretek M41.23 for involvement in the Green Mechanickal kvlt. Subsequently fled and disappeared from view for some years before being identified as allied with Chaotic forces in an engineering capacity. 

Last seen: Haxan Front.

Threat Level:  High -+- Terminate with extreme prejudice

What a lovely model. Its one of the Mechanicum range from FW and was a "whats that? I'm buying that!" insta purchase when I saw it, as I've never really owned a decent mechanicus model.

However - what a hassle to build. Truly awful design choices made in some of the elements of this model and the servitors. Some of the arms are supposed to be held two 2mm joins with a coupler inbetween, which is never going to take the strain of the weight. Poorly designed and I have no idea why not just have the arm glue straight to the back?

Accordingly, these models are held together with 50% glue, 50% verbal abuse.

Painted really nicely - I used a weathering ink from AK interactive and white spirit on these as the full shading, rather than just for specific areas as I usually do, to give it a test and it came out very well. Not sure I'd do that across a full army though, but good for characters like this.

Forgeworld Arvus Lighter

 It may be only me, but I've found myself pulling out boxes of stuff during lockdown and seeing whats in there, then thinking "ah, this is one thats been kicking about for a fair while. M8, yr time is due!"

So, on that note, an old Forgeworld Arvus Lighter that I bought a relatively mere 8/9 years ago, I think. Sitting about, rarely used, never painted, but bought as I loved the model at the time. Still do, but not at todays price!

In the ethos of "well, painted is better than unpainted, just go for it" approach to things, I spent a quick 30 mins hammering this one out and enjoying playing with the paint.

Don't ask where the plastic covering for the cockpit is, though. Long gone, that one!

Redemptionists..............the greatest Necromunda gang, where my money resides. Intolerant firebrands in more ways than one!

For some reason, I opened the box of these and found "ah, I've stripped these at some point and repainted many of them......best get on and do the rest then"

I've absolutely no idea when these will see table time again, but its nice to finally have them all finished for the first time since, what, 96??

As a bonus - bounty hunter and weird scribe model that were in the box too. First paint job this Hunters ever had :)
