Gettysburg - Day 3

Date : Sunday 28th July 2019
Place: Old Sergeant, Wandsworth

Table Size: 8X6

Objectives

Confederacy - March up there and take the field, push back the Union and seize the day.
Union - Hold the line against a massed attack

Deployment

Union - Form along Cemetery Ridge at one end of the table. Reserve should be held back until later, so can be deployed but not activated until the Rebels cross the road

Confederacy - Deploy at the opposite end of the table en masse, preparing to march up the field in good order

Scenario Events

Artillery Duel: Prior to the advance, a hefty amount of time has been spent blowing the shit out of one another at a distance, with cannon. i.e. The Gentlemanly Way of conducting affairs.

Post deployment, roll for each infantry unit on the table to see if affected by the shelling.

Confederacy - Roll of 6, followed by a 4+ = 1 casualty
Union - Roll of 6 followed by a 5+ = 1 casualty

Confederacy will not break until 3/4 of their Brigade strength has been shaken or broken


Order of Battle

Confederacy: Command 8, no CIC as Pickett is galloping around exhorting people and not really giving orders.

14 regiments of foot, divided into brigades as players see fit
